Jute is an amazing natural fibre coming from the 'Corchorus olitorius' plant - nicknamed the 'Golden fibre'. It is extremely durable and despite being grown in a similar way to cotton it has huge ecological differences. Jute uses no pesticides or fertilizers to grow, it requires very little water as it relies totally on natural rainfall, and replenishes much faster.
