Handwoven straw basket with long and short leather handles
All of our market baskets may vary slightly in size and style as they are hand woven in Morocco made from palm straw and grown in the wild Moroccan desert. The palm leaves are then dried in the sun for several hours before the weaving process starts.

DISCLAIMER
Artisans use spiral weave technique when weaving Moroccan baskets, it will leave a ridge at the top, and the base will not be completely flat, the baskets all have their own individual quirks which are not faults but adds to the charming uniqueness nature of these beautiful baskets. As the bag is hand painted, and are made of straw movement will take place and can cause possible chipping of the paint but this all adds to the boho basket look, I do however have a free touch up service available if required (postage not included) or can send a 15ml pot of touch up paint for £2.00 each + p&p
The leather handles of our baskets are vegetable tanned in a 100% natural way in the tanneries of Morocco.
There are no toxic additives as we prefer to keep things as natural as possible.
The handles may have a leather smell when new, which will soon disappear completely.
